How do lamellar and woven bone differ?

Lamellar bone:
1. is more densely calcified.
2. has a very regular arrangement of its fibers and crystals.
3. has less glycosaminoglycans.
    (and therefore typically less basophilic.)
4. has fewer cells.
The cells also are smaller with a regular almond shape.
5. has lamellae.
(which may not be visible if the section runs parallel to them.)
6. can have Haversian systems.
